God Lives in Us: K-O Annual Meeting
This year our theme, God Lives in Us, guided our work together as we focused on mission priorities: youth, camp, and campus ministry. Much of the direction and spirit in the Conference leading up to this annual meeting camp from our teenagers, who since attending camp this summer, have organized, lobbied, and planned for a “Year of the Youth” which we voted to declare 2010.
Among our actions, we passed a balanced budget with very serious cuts, adopted a report from the Camp White task force about new programming and moving the camp to self-support, a resolution supporting universal health care, and elected a new slate of officers, including J. F. Wickey, the pastor of Crossroads in Enid, as president.
Peter Keltch was elected to the Foundation Board and Tom McDonald was appointed to the 2010 annual planning committee.
